Another local Fijian band, LeftOvas LiveBand, is making a piece of their own history as they have secured the opening spot to the SIX60 concert that will be held on the 1st of next month after winning the Moana Open Mic Music competition that was held in Auckland over the weekend.

While speaking on their performance over the weekend, band member Josateki Koroituicakau says it was just amazing to get the band out there to perform for everyone, and get themselves a little bit of exposure, which is amazing and it is an honour.

Koroituicakau says they had amazing participants, and were happy to be given a stage to perform on.

He says in terms of them performing at the SIX60 concert next month, they are still processing it and they are looking forward to it.

The competition received 95 entries, with 12 acts shortlisted to perform live at the event.
