Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says all efforts should be focused on building confidence domestically to encourage more construction activity that can result in the creation of jobs.

Sayed-Khaiyum says there are many opportunities available in the country and confidence can result in the building of more complexes, apartments and warehouses.

The Minister for Economy says this will create employment opportunities within Fiji, people will have income and this will result in consumer spending. With an increase in spending, there will be an increase in tax revenue for the government.

Sayed-Khaiyum says this is the time to look at opportunities while talks continue on the opening of the travel bubble.
