Leadership Fiji Alumni starts TC Yasa Relief Fund

20/12/2020

Leadership Fiji Alumni have started a Tropical Cyclone Yasa Relief Fund where they aim to purchase and distribute relief packs to the affected communities in the North.

Alumni President Julianne Verma says they have a fund which they continuously collect from their alumni and they always look at areas where they can help.

She says in the first phase they will be purchasing from a needs list which has been provided to them and in the second phase they will start doing a food and clothes drive.

Verma adds they plan to purchase the relief items tomorrow and start packing by tomorrow evening.

Verma says they will be liaising with the National Disaster Management Office on the distribution of the relief packs in the North.

If you would like to assist in this worthy cause, you can donate funds in the Leadership Fiji Alumni BSP account – 81252023.

Verma says their accounts are independently audited annually and presented at their AGM.

You can also check out our Hands Across Fiji section of our website, fijivillage where we connect people needing assistance to help those severely affected by COVID-19 and TC Yasa to those who are looking at initiatives to assist the worst affected.
