Lautoka residents still taking precautionary measures for COVID-19 and approaching TC Harold

Lautoka residents moving around the city after the lockdown was lifted

Familiar sights were seen in Lautoka this morning, as the greater Lautoka Lockdown restriction was lifted however people are still taking precautionary measures for COVID-19 and the approaching Tropical Cyclone Harold.

People are looking for parking spots in the city, people have been returning to work, people are lining up outside the Lautoka Wharf, shops have been opened and bus services are returning to normal.

Fijivillage spoke to some residents in Lautoka about how life is after the lockdown.

Sheshant Kumar of Wairebetia, Lautoka says on his way to work, he noticed people lining up outside banks and FNPF.

Kumar who is part of essential services says he noticed that people were not following the physical distancing requirements that has been placed by the government.
