A couple from Lautoka has passed away in a tragic road accident at Nadolodolo, Tavua at 7.15am today.
Police say they were travelling from Tavua to Rakiraki when they collided with an oncoming truck carrying sugar cane on its way to Lautoka.
Police say the bodies of the two deceased were taken to Lautoka Morgue, awaiting post-mortem.
They are stressing that drivers must take extra precautions on the roads as the weekend approaches.
Investigation in to the incident is underway.
