Former Fijiana captain Lailanie Burnes

Lailanie Burnes has been appointed as a Director on the Fiji Rugby Union Board.

She replaces Laijipa Naulivou.

Burnes is a former Fijiana captain and has also worked in sponsorship and hospitality management for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.

Fiji Rugby Chairman John Sanday says Burnes was nominated by the Nadi Rugby Union and seconded by the Yasawa Rugby Union.

He adds that Burnes’s presence on the board will inspire and motivate other women to continue striving for excellence and leadership.
