Continuous rain since last night has caused flooding several areas in Labasa including Kurukuru, Lagalaga, Kilikoso, Nubu and Natabe.

Kilikoso Advisory Councillor Kamal Singh says they started experiencing heavy rain from last night and people living in the area are unable to go to work as the roads are flooded.

Singh says they are also experiencing network issues because of the weather condition.

Meanwhile, people should be prepared for more rain as an active trough of low pressure is expected to affect parts of the country for the next few days.

The Nadi Weather Office says a Flash Flood Warning remains in force for all low-lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams of Naitasiri Province, Coastal Serua-Namosi, Navua-Lami-Suva-Nausori and Tailevu through Rakiraki to Tavua and is now in force for parts of Vanua Levu including Labasa-Nadogo district, Coastal Vaturova and Saqani.

They say a Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for Fiji.
