Kulavia wins javelin gold for MGM, proud of getting sponsored

Savaira Kulavia of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School has added another gold to their 2025 Coca-Cola Games medal tally after winning the Sub Junior Girls Javelin event this morning.

She had a throw of 36.45 metres.

14-year-old Kulavia says she attended Vunisalusalu Central School in Savusavu last year and is proud of the fact that MGM sponsored her to attend school in Suva.

She has dedicated her win to her family, Vuinadi Village in Koroalau, Savusavu for praying for her and assisting her.

Kulavia says she is proud of her achievement and has thanked God for enabling her and her coaches for their guidance.

Pelenaisi Kotoiwasawasa from Levuka Public with a throw of 34.79 metres won silver while Sainiana Ralulu from Ballantine Memorial School had to settle for bronze after a throw of 28.99 metres.
