The Kulas are not just aiming to win the OFC Women’s Nations Cup starting today, but they are on a mission to make history and inspire a new generation of footballers in Fiji.
Following two wins against a higher ranked Papua New Guinea team in friendly matches, Kulas coach Angeline Chua says the team is fuelled by ambition and a deep sense of purpose as they prepare to compete in the 13th edition of the tournament.
She says while the tournament may not be part of FIFA World Cup 2027 qualifiers, the players are hungry for competitive football and eager to take the next big step.
Chua adds that their goal is to inspire more young girls to dream big and believe that they too can represent Fiji on the world stage.
The Kulas settled for silver in the last WNC in 2022 after losing 2-1 to PNG.
The Kulas will take on Solomon Islands at 7 tonight at HFC Bank Stadium.
