Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Faiyaz Koya will continue to act as the Attorney General and Minister for Economy, Civil Service and Communications until April 11th 2021.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has appointed Koya to act in those positions with effect from 22nd March to 11th April.

Koya is holding the acting portfolios while Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum recovers after two medical procedures in Singapore.

Koya was first appointed to act from Saturday March 6th to Sunday March 21st.

Speaking from Singapore in the virtual budget consultation session on February 28th, Sayed-Khaiyum said there has been a lot of talk that he will not stay in quarantine when he returns to Fiji.

He says every single person who comes to Fiji has to stay in quarantine and he will do the same.
