Korea wins third gold in women’s archery team event

The Republic of Korea won its third gold medal after its women’s archery team defeated China 5-4 in the final this morning.

The Team led by Jeon Hun-young, Lim Si-hyeon and Nam Suh-yeon, defeated China in Paris to earn its 10th straight Olympic gold medal.

The final score of the sets were 56-53, 55-54, 51-54, 53-55, in a final that went all the way to a shootout. The shootout score was 29-27.

Mexico won bronze in the women's team event after defeating Netherlands 6-2.

This was the first time Mexico won a medal in the Women's team event.

Korea leads the medal tally with 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, Australia is in second place with 3 gold and 2 silver, China is third with 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze, while host France is fourth with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
