FijiFirst Party candidate, Ketan Lal says it is very sad to see some politicians attempting to manipulate the electoral process and the minds of Fijians by spreading misinformation.

While reacting to the comments made by some of the parties, Lal says this is an unacceptable undermining of democracy and politicians like Chaudhry and Biman Prasad should know better than to spread fear and hate.

Lal says after pointing fingers at the Prime Minister and asking him if he would respect the electoral process, it seems Rabuka and Biman Prasad are intent on doing exactly what they were accusing the FijiFirst Party of and not respecting the outcome of the election.

He says many are feeling similar to how it felt in 1987 and 2000 with Rabuka's language and calls for military intervention, and Lal says Biman Prasad seems to have no problem with military intervening in the democratic process now.

We are trying to speak to Rabuka, Chaudhry and Professor Prasad.

FijiFirst Party General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had posted on the night of December 14th that as election results come in over the next 48 hours or more, let's remember: Vote tallying isn't a sprint - It's a marathon.

Sayed-Khaiyum said the only numbers that matter are the final results, and they are confident in another FijiFirst victory once the hundreds of thousands of votes cast in this election are counted.
