Kelepi Kasa has been sentenced to 1 year imprisonment by Magistrate Yogesh Prasad for stealing 12 packs of Rapid Panadol.
Kasa stole the packs of Panadol, valued at $115.65, from Extra Supermarket on the 14th of July this year.
Magistrate Prasad says Kasa has five previous convictions of a similar nature.
He says there is an increase in supermarket thefts and offenders must be given custodial sentences.
