The Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association’s jury has respected the track referee's decision last night for disqualifying the Marist runner crossing the lane in the senior boys 400 metres final and infringing the Athletics Competition rules.

The jury made its decision earlier today regarding the Suva Grammar School protest against the 400 metres senior boys runner, Solomone Muakibau.

The letters of the decision have been sent to Marist and Grammar.

Muakibau was disqualified after winning the 400 metres senior boys final following a protest by Grammar as Muakibau was running more than 20 metres on the inside lane.

Grammar’s Vilivo Whippy who was in second place, has been awarded the gold medal.

Nakasi High School’s Ratu Ilaitia Matadradra had come third in the race.
