Swire Shipping Fijian Drua lock Ratu Leone Rotuisolia is hopeful that they will take the Brumbies to the wire when they meet this week in the first round of the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
He says everyone loves playing against the Brumbies as they have a history between them.
The Drua has never defeated the Brumbies since their inception in 2022.
The Drua were beaten twice in 2022, they lost again in 2023 but came close in 2024, with the Brumbies edging the Drua 28-20.
The 26-year-old says preparations have been going well, with players competing to be in the starting line-up.
The Fijian Drua will kick start their Super Rugby Pacific season by hosting the Brumbies this Saturday at 3.35pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
In other matches, the Crusaders will meet the Hurricanes at 6.05pm Friday, the Waratahs will take on the Highlanders at 8.35pm Friday, the Blues will face the Chiefs at 6.05pm Saturday, and the Force will play Moana Pasifika at 8.35pm Saturday.
