Rewa soccer coach Marika Rodu

Rewa soccer coach Marika Rodu says it is important that they do not remain stagnant with one style of play because other teams are monitoring their style and are trying to counter them.

Rodu says they are aware that other teams are always after the top side heading into any tournament.

Rewa won the Punjas BOG earlier this year and is currently leading the Vodafone Premier League.

Rodu also says that winning the tournament will benefit the players financially because a number of players have been struggling due to COVID-19.

Rewa will rely on the services of top players like Simione Tamanisau, Tevita Waranivalu, Setareki Hughes, Peniame Drova, Anish Khem and Waisake Navunigasau in the tournament.

Rewa last won the IDC title in 2010 when they beat Lautoka 3-1 in the final.

The Courts IDC kicks off today at the ANZ Stadium and can catch the live commentaries of the Suva-Nasinu match at 12.30 pm, Ba-Nadi game at 4.30 pm and Rewa-Lautoka match at 7pm on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
