Minister for Works, Ro Filipe Tuisawau and Opposition Leader, Inia Seruiratu

It is hard to fix 16 years of neglect, let alone 12 months.

Minister for Works, Ro Filipe Tuisawau highlighted this while replying to Leader of Opposition Inia Seruiratu on the condition of the roads in Seaqaqa where he says that people prefer not to use cars but four wheel drive vehicles on the freeze of Public Service Vehicle licenses.

Seruiratu asks where do the people fit into this plan that government has.

Ro Filipe says in the North they have received applications and are looking at the criteria, so it does not result in the undermining of the operations of the buses

He says they have to be very balanced and they need to proceed carefully so that the other PSV licenses are running but they do not destroy the bus industry.

FijiFirst MP Jone Usamate says when he was in Seaqaqa last year and the roads were good which means it deteriorated in the past year.

While replying to Usamate’s supplementary question Ro Filipe reminded them that every supplementary question has been about roads while the issue is on the LTA.
