Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Ben Gollings

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Ben Gollings says with the way Hong Kong 7s tournament is played out it is basically cup final after cup final, especially with Samoa in their first game.

Gollings says he knows Samoa is going to come out strong, and it is really key for Fiji to set a good platform and get the tournament off to a good start.

Gollings also says having 3 big teams is good for them because it helps keep the focus.

Fiji will kick off their campaign against Samoa at 7.28 tonight, then they will face Canada at 3.52pm tomorrow and play Argentina at 8.37 tomorrow night in their final pool match.

The cup quarter-finals will start at 2.02pm Sunday, the semi-finals will begin at 7.29pm Sunday and the final will be held at 12.15am Monday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team will take on Ireland at 5.04 this afternoon in their first match before playing Brazil at 9.04 tonight in their second match.

They will meet Australia at 1.55pm tomorrow in their final pool game.

The cup quarter-finals will start at 11.37pm tomorrow, the semi-finals will begin at 6.43pm Sunday, and the final will be at 11.40pm Sunday.
