Ireland began their Six Nations title defence and run at a historic three-peat with a vital win over England

Ireland was ruthless this morning as they defeated England in a bonus-point win in the Six Nations Championship.

The Irish side secured a 27-22 win over England at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

England led 10-5 at halftime, with a try from Cadan Murley and a late Marcus Smith penalty.

Ireland’s comeback was sparked by Bundee Aki’s try, which levelled the score, and James Lowe’s consistent performance throughout the match.

The Irish dominance continued with Dan Sheehan’s try, aided by Lowe’s vision and passing.

England had strong contributions from Marcus Smith and the Curry twins, but their efforts weren’t enough to hold off Ireland’s attack.

Jack Crowley’s impact after replacing Sam Prendergast steadied the team, while the Aviva Stadium crowd played a pivotal role in lifting Ireland’s spirits.

In other results, Scotland defeated Italy 31-19, and France thrashed Wales 43-0.

Coming up next week, Italy will meet Wales at 2.15am next Sunday, England will take on France at 4.45am next Sunday and Scotland will face Ireland at 3am Monday 10th.
