Investigations continue in a case where a 58 year old man of Wailevu, Labasa allegedly ran over his own passenger which resulted in the death of a man on Nasikasika cane access road last Sunday.
It is not clear whether the suspect has been questioned as police was waiting for his medical clearance.
A team from the CID Headquarters in Suva was directed to carry out investigations in this case.
A 50 year old farmer of Korotari, Labasa had allegedly hit the 58 year old suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect allegedly got off the vehicle with one of his passengers and allegedly threw things at the other driver's vehicle.
The suspect got back in the car and when he reversed the vehicle he allegedly ran over his passenger resulting in the death.
