Saif Ali Khan has been stabbed six times by an intruder, who barged into his Mumbai home in the early hours of this morning.

The actor underwent a 2 and a hour surgery while a plastic surgery is still going on.

A report against the intruder has been lodged at the Bandra Police Station where an intruder allegedly sneaked into Khan's house while he was sleeping.

Police confirm a scuffle broke out between the actor and the intruder after he attempted to barge in.

The intruder then stabbed Khan six times and fled the crime scene.

A statement from Lilavati Hospital where Khan is being treated, says two of the six stab wounds are deep and near the spine.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has been tasked with the responsibility of a parallel investigation as staff at Khan’s home are being questioned.
