International School Suva under 17 boys defeat Gospel 24-15 in the Suva Secondary Schools Basketball Championship

The International School Suva Under 17 side came back strongly to beat Gospel High School in the Suva Secondary Schools Basketball Championship.

ISS defeated Gospel 24-15.

ISS captains Yashan Patel and Naysan Joshi say the team needs to work on communication while playing.

Patel says the team had begun training in July and stayed persistent through it.

In the girls under 15, ISS drew 16-all with Yat Sen Secondary in their first game, they then beat Suva Grammar School 16-4 in their second game.

In the boys U15, Yat Sen thrashed Ratu Kadavulevu School 31-4 in their first game, they then beat Grammar 17-7 in their second game while International School Suva defeated Suva Grammar 17-0.

In the boys Under 17 grade, Yat Sen A defeated Marist 14-11 in their first game, thrashed Grammar 41-9 in their second game and Yat Sen B edged RKS 7-6.

In the girls Under 17, International School Suva held off Yat-Sen Secondary 10-7.

The games continue today.
