Internal Affairs Unit to investigate a case of alleged Police assault of Sakoca man in Navua

Police are currently investigating a case where a man was allegedly assaulted by Police officers in Navua.

Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew says the matter is being investigated by the Internal Affairs Unit.

It is alleged the victim, who resides in Sakoca, was found badly beaten up in Navua by Police Officers.

People close to the victim have told us that the man is unconscious at the hospital and was allegedly assaulted by Police officers who were looking for information on drugs.
