Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar for donating Rs. 25 crore to PM-CARES Fund.

Kumar pledged to donate such an enormous amount in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna also solute her husband's generosity by sharing a post on her twitter handle with the caption “the man makes me proud”.

Khanna says When she asked if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and they needed to liquidate funds, he just said, I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.
