The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced that a 4.5kg cylinder of gas will cost $11.91.

There will be an increase in the price of gas from tomorrow while fuel prices will go down.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced that a 4.5kg cylinder of gas will cost $11.91.

This previously cost $11.49.

The cost of a 12kg cylinder of gas will be $31.77.

$30.63 was the previous price for a 12kg cylinder of gas.

It has also been announced that a 13kg cylinder of gas will now cost $34.42.

The price of unleaded fuel will decrease from $1.92 to $1.91 per litre.

The price of premix will decrease from $1.55 to $1.53 per litre.

It has also been announced that the price of diesel will decrease from $1.54 to $1.52 per litre.

Kerosene remains at $1 per litre.

FCCC say fuel prices have decreased due to the unfavourable movement in international prices and weakening of the US Dollar against the Fijian dollar based on October 2020 imports.

They say the LPG price in Fiji is impacted by the movement in Saudi Aramco Butane Contract Price and the increase noted in butane contract price, strengthening of USD against Fijian dollar and and increase in international freight rates on the October 2020 importation.
