Swire Shipping Fijian Drua co-captain and hooker Tevita Ikanivere continues to get recognition following his impressive performance against the Reds last weekend in round 13 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition after he was named the Super Rugby Pacific Player Of the Week.

Ikanivere has been stamping his mark in the competition over the past few years and with no doubt, continues to grow as a player and a young leader on the field.

The 24-year-old has so far been a regular starter in the number 2 jersey and also has been setting the bar high in terms of his attacking ability and also his defence this season.

The Ono-i-Lau man led by example last weekend scoring two tries to help his team secure the much-needed win and also led from the front in defence.

Ikanivere is likely to start again this weekend in their crucial match against the Highlanders and will be hoping to help his side move up to 7thplace in the points table and keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Drua will take on the Highlanders at 2.05pm this Sunday in Dunedin.

In other matches this week, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday, the Brumbies host the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, Moana Pasifika take on the Waratahs at 4.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders play the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Reds meet the Force at 9.35pm Saturday.
