I told Vou to do their best - Vasu

I told the Vou Dance Group to do their best based on whatever they do.

Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu highlighted this to the media at the Festival Village of the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture in Hawaii.

Vasu was responding to the uproar on social media about Fijians complaining about why Vou, a contemporary group was selected to perform at the official opening of FestPAC.

Vasu says they had to go with what they had at the time as the Methodist Lay Training Centre (MLTC) team from Davuilevu was still on it's way to Hawaii from Fiji.

The Minister says people present at the opening ceremony were happy with the performance as it charged the atmosphere in the arena.

Vasu says he has accepted the responsibility of what happened during the opening night.

He says they had to do what they thought was best given the situation they were in for Vou to represent Fiji for that night and they were happy with the results.
