Making a strong start, and imposing their game, would be the goal for the Hurricanes in their Super Rugby Pacific quarterfinal against the Brumbies tonight.

Coach Jason Holland says they wanted to take on the tight five and their set-piece. He says there's some clear trends around the way the Brumbies play and they have concentrated on those things and how they need to combat them.

In today’s quarterfinals, the Chiefs will face the Waratahs at 4.35pm today, defending champions the Blues will battle it out with the Highlanders at 7.05 tonight and the Brumbies will play the Hurricanes at 9.45 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Crusaders beat the Reds 37-15 last night.
