An injury to first-five Brett Cameron has soured the Hurricanes’ fifth win of the Super Rugby Pacific season – a tighter than expected 45-42 nail-biter against the Force.
There were fears Cameron’s injury could be serious after referee Paul Williams immediately stopped play, after the one-test All Black got his leg trapped under a Force tackler and could be heard screaming in agony.
But to the Hurricanes’ relief, Cameron was able to limp off the field, a sign it may not be as serious as first feared.
