Hundreds of people of Vunimoli Settlement in Tamavua-i-wai continue to be affected on a daily basis as they claim there are pipe leakages at three different locations.

A concerned resident told Fijivillage that he had lodged a complaint with the Water Authority of Fiji however the Authority has not attended to the matter till date.

The resident says these pipe leakages are deteriorating the road conditions.

He says he has followed up with the Authority’s officers six times in the last three months and the last time he called to follow up on the issue was yesterday.

The concerned resident from Vunimoli Settlement says the only response the Authority is giving him is that the complaint has been disseminated to the team responsible for repair works in the Tamavua-i-wai area and they apologies for the delay in attending to the complaint.

He says students and some residents use the road on a daily basis and they continue to be affected by the condition everyday.

When contacted by Fijivillage Water Authority of Fiji says they will look into the issue and will see what can be done for the residents.

We have also sent questions to the authority.
