Tourism Fiji CEO, Brent Hill.

Tourism Fiji CEO, Brent Hill says since the start of December, the combination of the re-opening of the borders and the Open for Happiness Campaign, they have seen hits on their website increase by 19%.

Hill says new users rose by a massive 22%.

He also says the Open for Happiness videos featuring Hollywood actress, Rebel Wilson have been viewed more than 5 million times, reaching over 9 million people around the world.

The CEO says they are now re-targeting all those users with amazing offers to come to Fiji.

He further says if all the bookings do come to Fiji, the industry will be well on the way to generating $1 billion again which means more people will be back at work doing what they love and more money into the Fijian economy.

Hill adds Fiji is the buzz destination for 2022.
