Heavy rain alert for the rest of Fiji

If you are living in Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Lau and the Lomaiviti Groups and in Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, there is a heavy rain warning for you.

A heavy rain alert is in force for the rest of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the country.

People living in Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Lau and the Lomaiviti Groups and in Kadavu and nearby smaller islands can expect periods of rain, heavy at times with few thunderstorms.

The weather office also says there is a risk of flash flooding of low lying areas, risk of flooding of small rivers, creeks and roads and poor visibility on roads and at sea is also anticipated.
