The Heavy Rain Warning previously in force for the entire Fiji Group has been cancelled but a Flash Flood Alert remains in force for all low lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure, with associated cloud and rain, remains slow-moving to the South of the group and continues to affect parts of Fiji.

They warn that heavy rainfall may still result in flash flooding in low-lying, flood-prone areas and small streams.

Occasional rain, with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms, is expected over Vatulele, Beqa, Kadavu, and the Southern Lau Group.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office advises drivers to exercise extra caution, as roads have deteriorated due to continuous rainfall over the past few days.
