The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has finished 8th in the Hamilton 7s after being thrashed 34-7 by France in the 7th place final.
France scored three unconverted tries in the first half for a 15-0 lead at half time.
Fijiana was reduced to 6 players early in the second spell after Adi Vani Buleki was yellow carded for a dangerous tackle.
France took advantage of the extra player to score a converted try to increase the lead to 22-0.
Fijiana tried hard to get past French territory but their defence was solid as and allowed them to score another two tries to extend their lead to 34-0.
Fijiana managed to score a consolation try in the final minute of play with a successful conversion.
