Abigal Koroi of Suva Grammar School has won a gold medal in the 2024 Coca Cola Games sub-junior long jump with a jump of 4.80 metres.
Miriama Rokoua of Mahatma Gandhi High School took the silver while Mereani Sofia of Vashist Muni College settled for the bronze. Koroi says although she faced challenges during her preparation, it did not deter her focus.
Koroi says balancing school work and training was hard for her, but she utilised her time well.
She says winning a gold for herself and her school is a great achievement for her.
She also dedicated the win to her family and her coach for their support.
