Grammar to face Marist in the U16 Southern Zone final

Suva Grammar School and Marist Brothers High School are through to the Vodafone Super Deans Competition after booking their spot in the final of the U16 Vodafone Southern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Competition.

Grammar defeated Dudley High School 15-7 this morning while Marist beat Nasinu Secondary 15-10.

Dudley will play Nasinu in the third place playoffs.

Laisiasa Maraikiwai scored 2 tries for Grammar and also assisted in their third try.

It was also a memorable win for the Grammar side as they farewell teammate Ratu Samuela Bola after he secured a contract in the UK. He will be leaving the country next week.

Meanwhile, Marist is currently playing Nasinu in their U17 semi final. Grammar will face MGM in the other U17 semifinal at 2.30pm.

In the U18 semi finals, Marist will face Nasinu Secondary School this hour and Grammar will meet Sacred Heart College at 2pm. Naitasiri Secondary is currently leading Lomary Secondary School 7-5 in the U19 semi final.

Nasinu Secondary will face Marist at 12.15pm in the second U19 semi final.
