Govt distributed more than 800 essential item packs to families in lockdown areas/home isolation yesterday

The Fijian government distributed 849 grocery and essential item packs to lockdown areas and families who are in home isolation yesterday.

It says the third round of grocery and essential item packs has been distributed in the Nadi lockdown areas that includes Tramline, Qina Settlement and Nawajikuma in Nawaka where a total of 690 packs have been distributed.

There are 567 households in the lockdown area of which 117 households have more than six members and four families have more than 12 members.

They say households with more than six members have been provided two packs while those with 12 or more members have been provided with three packs.

156 groceries and essential item packs have been delivered to people in home isolation.

6 packs have been distributed in Caubati, 16 packs in Cunningham, 25 in Dilkusha and Waila, 25 in Nadera and Samabula, 9 in Lami, 30 in Tacirua, 39 in Nakasi, Narere and Wainibuku, 6 in Raiwasa and 3 packs were distributed in Kinoya.

To date, about 2,397 packs have been delivered to Nadi lockdown areas, about 146 packs have been delivered to Kinoya lockdown areas and about 783 packs have been delivered to Fijians in home isolation living in Lami, Suva, Nasinu and Nausori.

6,730 groceries and essential item packs have been distributed to those in targetted lockdown and home isolation.

To date, a total of 36, 230 food ration, grocery and essential item packs have been distributed by the Fijian government.
