Coaching Fiji is a massive opportunity and I’m immensely proud, honoured and privileged to be in this position.

Those were the words of Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach, Ben Gollings after landing in NZ with the team ahead of tomorrow’s Hamilton 7s.

Gollings says it was always exciting playing against Fiji and to be given this opportunity to coach them, is a big boost in his rugby career.

He says the nice thing about coaching Fiji is that the players are humble and so responsive.

The coach says he has played with and against a lot of Pacific Island players and he was happy when he got this opportunity to coach Fiji.

Fiji will play France at 8.32am tomorrow, they will then take on Kenya at 12pm, before playing Samoa in their final pool match at 3.06pm tomorrow.

The Men’s cup quarter-finals will start at 9.58am Sunday, the semi finals will begin at 1.48pm, and the final will be played at 6.56pm Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s will kick-off their Hamilton 7s campaign against Great Britain at 10.22am tomorrow, they will play NZ at 2.12pm in their second pool game before taking on PNG at 5.37pm.

The women’s cup quarter finals will kick-off at 8.30am Sunday, the cup semi final will begin at 12.20pm Sunday and the cup final will be at 6.26pm Sunday.
