Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team coach Ben Gollings says captain Jerry Tuwai is balancing his coaching and playing role and he will not take the field in the 46th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

Gollings says they are managing Tuwai’s game time and this week will be another opportunity to focus on his coaching role.

Gollings also says the level of competition they faced at the Fun Flavor Mini 7s tournament last week was fantastic for the team.

The Marist 7s will starts today with the Under 21 and the Women’s competition while the Men’s category will begin tomorrow.

The men’s quarter-finals will begin at 2.50pm Saturday, the semi-finals will start at 5.30pm Saturday and the final will be at 7.30pm Saturday.

You can catch the live commentaries for the men’s cup quarterfinals, semi-finals and final on our sister station Viti FM.
