The Head of the Catholic Church in Fiji Archbishop Peter Loy Chong says people should get the COVID-19 vaccine as it is not evil and does not have the mark of the beast as circulated by some.

Archbishop Chong says vaccination is a moral obligation and it is the right thing to do as the vaccine protects us and our loved ones.

He says when people choose not to get vaccinated, they are working against the greater good.

Archbishop Chong says videos and information that has been circulated on social media about people trying to put a magnet or a piece of steel on the arm of those who have gotten vaccinated is all lies.

The Head of the Catholic Church says he and some of the people who are working for the church, have already got their first jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine and nothing has happened to them.
