Veteran actor, Terrence Stamp best known for his chilling portrayal of General Zod in the original Superman films, has passed away at the age of 87.
Stamp, whose career spanned more than 60 years, died yesterday according to a statement from his family released to Reuters.
His family said he left behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and as a writer that will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come.
During his lifetime, Stamp gained fame for his role in movies which includes Wall Street, Star Wars, The Haunted Mansion and Elektra.
