This was highlighted by the Friendly North Festival President Mohammed Rizwan, stating that the Festival in the past years have done numerous projects that has benefited a lot of people and is a reminder that unity is our strength.

While officiating at the festival, Commissioner North Uraia Rainima says the North is richly blessed with its people and the unique natural landscape however, there is still a lot that needs to happen to ensure that growth is achieved and the environment is maintained and sustained.

He says the theme “Rebuilding the North” is timely as together we can create a North that will be second to no one and as developments continue to happen, this will surely guarantee opportunities for people.

The Commissioner further says that the government's commitment to the “Look North Policy” is acknowledged as they move forward to develop and lift standards of livelihoods in the North.

He says while we are working together, we need to be mindful that with change comes challenges and the drive for awareness and community levels is paramount and platform as such allows for the advocating of issues that need attention and address.
