Former England flyhalf accuses All Blacks of choosing who they play at Eden Park

Former England flyhalf Andy Goode has fired a shot at the All Blacks and their unbeaten run at Eden Park accusing the All Blacks of deliberately avoiding playing the Springboks at the Auckland venue they have not lost at since 1994.

Speaking on the Rugby Pod, Goode says he has heard that the All Blacks do not like or do not want to play South Africa at Eden Park, and they choose who they play, where they play, and when they play.

The All Blacks have not played South Africa at Eden Park since 2013 but will host them there in a highly anticipated Rugby Championship test on September 6.

Goode says looking at the history of when the last time the Springboks played there, he thinks this will be the first time in a long time.

He says the Springboks could end the All Blacks’ winning streak at Eden Park.

Meanwhile, former Wales first five-eighth Dan Biggar rated the All Blacks’ chances of not slipping up at Eden Park for the first time since France beat them more than three decades ago.

Biggar says the Springboks could beat the streak, but the All Blacks have played really well against the Springboks in the Rugby Championship last year, and have always done all right against them.

The All Blacks will play the Springboks at Eden Park on Saturday 6th September this year in their first of the two Freedom Cup tests.
