The Fiji Water Flying Fijians will be working hard to make sure they capitalise on the opportunities they have created in their previous test matches in the July test series for their upcoming Pacific Nations Cup campaign which kicks off next Friday.

Coach Mick Byrne says one of the things that was obvious to them in what they were trying to do was to create a lot of opportunities.

Byrne says it was just some decision-making and their fitness level that let them down.

Byrne adds they have got a young squad of Fijian Drua players that are only in their third year of professionalism and they have got a number of players overseas that play different styles of football.

He says one of their big learnings was having the ability to get set early.

The Flying Fijians will be having their first training camp this Saturday as they prepare to take on Samoa in the first round of the Pacific Nations Cup at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Fiji will play Samoa at 6pm next Friday.
