The rainy conditions will continue until Saturday and are expected to ease in the weekend.

Meanwhile, flood water levels in Elevuka Creek in Ba Town is receding but it could rise as it continues to rain in the interior of Ba.

Ba Town Council Acting CEO Vinal Prasad says water in the creek, which is very close to the town, was rising earlier today.

The Ba Town Council says with heavy rain affecting the town, people should avoid getting near flooded areas.

They are asking people to take all the necessary precautions and stay safe.
