Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s backrower, Alfreda Fisher says she was not expecting to be named as the Player of the Year during the Fijian Drua Awards Night last night.
The 20-year-old says she was suprised to receive the award, knowing that many of her teammates were just as deserving.
Fisher is originally from Qamea in Taveuni and was the youngest captain in the history of Fiji Rugby after she was named to lead the side against the Wallaroos in Suva last month.
Fisher dedicated the win to her father and acknowledged her coach, the fans and her teammates for the support they shown this season.
Meanwhile, tireless lock, Isoa Nasilasila was awarded the 2025 Fijian Drua Men’s Player of the Year.
