A fire broke out at the old Raiwaqa market this morning and was contained by some people living near the car wash area.
It is believed the fire affected a small section of the market.
According to Raiwaqa Police, some children were seen at the old market before the fire started.
Authorities are investigating whether the children may have gathered heaps of rubbish that could have sparked the fire.
We have contacted the National Authority of Fiji for comment and are awaiting their response.
