Fijians are encouraged to support the worthy cause of wearing a poppy as we approach Remembrance Day and acknowledge our fallen heroes in the hope for continued peace for Fiji and all Fijians.

This was highlighted by President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere after launching the Poppy Appeal 2022 at the State House.

Ratu Wiliame says as the world progresses and newer challenges are faced, appreciation and acknowledgement of our fallen heroes and their contributions to our current civilization shall never fade.

The President says our fallen servicemen volunteered, served, fought, and died for Fiji and today, we also celebrate their legacies that will be remembered for generations to come.

Fijians are encouraged to wear a poppy everyday in support of the Poppy Appeal as we approach Remembrance Day on 11 November.
