Fijiana started on a high note by defeating France 17-12

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has started their opening game on a high note after defeating France 17-12 at Albert Park this morning while NZ Black Ferns defeated Australia 10-7 .

Fijiana started with an opening try from Ana Naimasi and followed up with a try each from Younis Bese and Reapi Uluinasau.

Looking at the results from Day 1, Fijiana lost to the NZ Black Ferns 22-5, they won their second match thrashing France 29-7 in round 2 and later defeated Australia 34-12.

The Fiji Airways Fijiana is now focused on their second game against Australia at 1pm and NZ Black Ferns at 4pm.

The Fiji Airways Mini 7s will have its second set of competitions in Lautoka next Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, the 2023 UN Women Provincial 7s tournament that is held at Albert Park has begun with Jasper leading the Lilians 10-0.
