Fijiana goes down 38-14 to France in Dubai 7s quarter final

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side lost to France 38-14 in the quarter final of the Dubai 7s this evening. France Ian Jason scored twice in the in the first 4 minutes of the first half but Fiji’s Vani Buleki crossed over the white line to close the gap to 10-7.

Camille Grassineau collected a loose-ball from Fiji to put the French side to a 17-7 lead at the break.

France came back firing in the second half to score two tries from Anne-Cecile Ciofani.

Fiji were put under a lot of pressure from the French side and could not capitilse on their game plan.

Fiji manage to collect a penalty try in the final minutes of the match.

Looking at other quarter finals, New Zealand beat Brazil 26-14, Canada edged Ireland 14-12, and the USA will play Australia at 6.36 tonight.
